Born from the ashes of a devastating fire in 2010 that left scores of families without a roof, the Family Assistance Resource Center (FARC) emerged as a beacon of hope, offering immediate aid like emergency clothing, footwear, and essential household items to those affected by fires, floods, and natural calamities.

The driving force of the organization, Executive Director Roger Hinton, articulates the vision: “We’re here to provide the foundational support that empowers the people we aid in rebuilding their lives with dignity and to attain self-reliance.”

FARC’s array of services tackles the urgent needs of individuals and families in crisis. These offerings span from clothing and furniture to food assistance and housing resource guidance.

Understanding that the face of need is diverse, FARC knows too well that struggling isn’t limited to the homeless. Many, including employed single adults and families across New Jersey, are barely keeping their heads above water, grappling to fulfill basic needs such as nourishment, wardrobe, and essential home furnishings.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, FARC operates through the generous help of compassionate individuals who believe in our cause.
