“We’re here to provide foundational support that empowers people to rebuild their lives with dignity and work toward self-reliance.”
– Executive Director Roger Hinton

Who We Are
Rising from the ashes of a devastating 2010 fire that left countless families without shelter, the Family Assistance Resource Center (FARC) was born as a beacon of hope. Since then, FARC has been providing immediate relief—emergency clothing, footwear, personal care items and essential household goods—to individuals affected by fires, floods, and other natural disasters.
Guided by a dedicated board of trustees with over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and business management, the Family Assistance Resource Center NJ is committed to ethical, transparent, and effective stewardship.
What We Do
FARC delivers a wide range of services to meet the urgent needs of individuals and families in crisis. These include clothing, furniture, food assistance, and guidance on accessing housing resources.
Recognizing that hardship wears many faces, FARC serves not only the homeless but also working individuals and families across New Jersey who are struggling to meet basic needs—essentials like food, clothing, and home furnishings. Many of those we help are employed, but still unable to make ends meet.
With extensive expertise and unwavering dedication, we consistently deliver favorable resolutions.
